Man Suing Gay Dem Former Mayor of Seattle For Sex Abuse Mysteriously Found Dead

A man who accused former Democratic Seattle Mayor Ed Murray of sexual abuse and was in the process of a lawsuit against him was found dead in a motel room in a suburb of Seattle.

Police found Delvon Heckard, 47, in the hotel dead from what appeared to be a drug overdose. He was unable to be revived. Medication and drug paraphernalia were found in the room.

The King County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause of death, however.

Heckard claimed that Murray had paid him for sex when he was a teenager.

From Fox News:

In April, Heckard sued Murray, alleging that the then-mayor repeatedly paid him for sex in the late 1980s. Heckard was in recovery for addiction to cocaine and other drugs when he filed the lawsuit, but said it was his father’s death and his attempt at sobriety that prompted him to come forward.

Heckard dropped the lawsuit before refiling it after adding the city as a defendant, claiming it aided Murray to use his political power to defame Heckard and others. Heckard received $150,00 in a settlement with the city in December.

Two other men followed with similar accusations, claiming Murray abused them 1980s when they were teenagers in Portland, Ore.

A fourth man came forward after Murray denied the claims, alleging he was also paid to have sex with Murray as a teenager.

Then-Mayor Murray was also accused by his cousin, Joseph Dyer, of abusing him decades ago. That finally put the nail in the coffin and forced Murray to resign in September.

Of the five men accusing Murray, Heckard is the only one who had sued so far.

Murray has continued to deny all the allegations.

Murray, 62, a Democrat who served in the state Legislature prior to being elected Seattle’s mayor in 2013, has denied all of the allegations.

Out of the five accusers, Heckard was the only one to take legal action to date.

It’s hard to say exactly what happened at this point.

And it may be that it was just a drug overdose albeit in a seemingly convenient happenstance for Murray.

But Murray, if he did what he was accused of, seriously injured the lives of Heckard and the others.

And now Heckard is dead.

And the truth should be found out because Murray should not be allowed to get away with it if he is guilty of these crimes. Nor should the city if they facilitated or helped to cover any of this up.
