There are many reasons to be happy about President Trump’s cabinet so far. There have been some misses. Rex Tillerson isn’t exactly wowing anyone and you can make a pretty solid argument that Jeff Sessions’ ridiculous decision to recuse himself is a big reason we are still having to deal with this Russia nonsense. However, there’s no debate that Nikki Haley, Ben Carson, John Kelly, Betsy DeVos, Ryan Zinke, and others are absolutely killing it.
One person who doesn’t get the credit he deserves is Scott Pruitt. It’s quite possible that the decision to put him in charge of the dumpster fire known as the EPA was the best decision Trump made in the early days of his presidency.
Don’t forget, the EPA was an absolute disaster during the Obama years.
The list of infractions goes on and on and on but we all remember the greatest hits.
Just really vile stuff.
Scott Pruit had a huge mess to clean up and he has been doing an amazing job.
If you aren’t convinced, look how angry he’s making liberals.
From Washington Examiner:
EPA chief Scott Pruitt, under fire for riding in first class out of security concerns, has faced four times more threats to him and his family than the preceding agency administrator.
What’s more, the EPA has opened some 70 probes into threats against the administrator and the agency in the past year, nearly double under former Obama-era Administrator Gina McCarthy.
According to Assistant Inspector General for Investigations Patrick Sullivan, threats against Pruitt are up. He told E&E News, “He has had significantly more threats directed against him. There’s absolutely no question about it.”
And Pruitt has said that even his family is being threatened. “The quantity and the volume — as well as the type — of threats are different,” Pruitt told Bloomberg News. “What’s really disappointing to me as it’s not just me — it’s family.”
Liberals have been complaining about Pruitt flying in first class which he says was due to people harassing him in coach. There are people out there who want to kill this guy. Let him fly in first class if it’s safer.
That’s totally fair and worth every penny.
Yeah, we get it. Taxpayer money is sacred. However, it’s also important to protect this guy’s life from unhinged eco-terrorists.
Pruitt has been an absolute rock star so far. Here’s a little glimpse into what he’s been doing.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt ended the agency’s “sue and settle” policy Monday, criticizing “regulation through litigation” as wrong and “abusive.”
“The days of regulation through litigation are over,” said Administrator Pruitt. “We will no longer go behind closed doors and use consent decrees and settlement agreements to resolve lawsuits filed against the Agency by special interest groups where doing so would circumvent the regulatory process set forth by Congress. Additionally, gone are the days of routinely paying tens of thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees to these groups with which we swiftly settle.”
