What is wrong with Robert De Niro?
Typically, when you don’t know a lot about a subject it’s a good idea to avoid talking about it. Not if you are Robert De Niro. Nope. He knows absolutely nothing about politics and yet he is chiming in about them constantly.
Remember when De Niro was thought of as tough guy? Those days are long gone. Now, De Niro is the literal definition of a snowflake. The election didn’t go his way in 2016 so he’s dedicating the next 4-8 (definitely 8) years of his life to complaining about it.
The latest example came to light during a trip De Niro took to the Middle East.
From Yahoo News:
Hollywood star Robert De Niro took aim at the Trump administration’s stance on climate change, telling a packed audience in the Middle East that he was visiting from a “backward” country suffering from “temporary insanity.”
He said that in the country he’s describing, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency suggested last week that global warming may be a good thing for humanity.
From Fox News:
De Niro, a frequent critic of President Trump, said that in the country he’s describing, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency suggested last week that global warming may be a good thing for humanity.
“I am talking about my own country, the United States of America. We don’t like to say we are a ‘backward’ country so let’s just say we are suffering from a case of temporary insanity,” he said during remarks Sunday at the World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
EPA Chief Scott Pruitt, who has said in the past that carbon dioxide is not to blame for global warming, noted last week that a warming climate may not be so bad.
“We know humans have most flourished during times of warming trends. There are assumptions made that because the climate is warming that necessarily is a bad thing,” Pruitt said during an interview with KSNV in Las Vegas.
First of all, Scott Pruitt might be the most impressive member of Trump’s cabinet. The EPA was an absolute disaster under President Obama. Scandal after scandal. Dumping millions of gallons of toxic waste into a Colorado river. Fining people $75,000 a day for building a pond on their property. Oh, and they knew the water in Flint was poisoned for 7 months before they told anyone. Was De Niro running around protesting Obama’s EPA when that happened? Of course not. Bet he doesn’t even know that happened.
Also, does De Niro knows where he was when he made that statement?
He was in the MIDDLE EAST!
You really think lecturing the people who literally fuel the entire world with fossil fuel is going to make a difference? The world is laughing at De Niro. Not Trump or Pruitt.
Also, why is De Niro speaking in the Middle East? Isn’t he an actor? Who cares what he has to say about politics?
