The Antifa nuts out there have been running around pretending that they are fighting against fascism. In reality, they are significantly more fascist than any of the conservatives that they are targeting. Conservatives believe in free speech. Antida doesn’t. All Antifa wants to do is shut down any speech they disagree with and they don’t even hide it.
Sadly, Antifa has done a good job infiltrating college campuses across the country and some schools even hire professors who are tied to the radical group.
Recently, some Stanford students found out that one of their professors was sympathetic to the violent cause.
Now, they are fighting back.
From The Daily Caller:
Stanford University students are demanding the resignation of a professor linked to Antifa, according to a Tuesday report.
Students from the campus’s College Republican chapter and Stanford Review newspaper want David Palumbo-Liu, a comparative literature professor at the school, to either resign or distance himself from the Campus Antifascist Network group he founded, reported The College Fix.
Palumbo-Liu and Purdue University professor Bill Mullen created the group “to stem the rise of fascism, whether proudly displayed in hateful exclusionary slogans and posters, or disguised as ‘free speech.’”
Michael Reagan wrote a piece about this ridiculous group the professors formed.
Stanford’s David Palumbo-Liu and Purdue’s Bill Mullen have founded another falsely-named organization to fight a vast network of “right-wing totalitarians” that doesn’t happen to exist. The fact a threat is imaginary won’t prove to be a hindrance in their efforts, just look at the hundreds of millions that have been raised and spent to fight the fantasy of “Global Warming.”
Instead what will happen is their “Campus Antifascist Network” (CAN) will recruit its own fascists to attack run-of-the-mill conservatives who have the temerity to disagree with the disingenuous professors of ideology. Whoops, slight mistake. Their nominal titles involve teaching literature, but since the English Dept. is second only to the Sociology Dept. for manufacturing wild-eyed Marxist zealots, ideology professors is close enough.
Campus Reform obtained a copy of the invitation letter to join their revolutionary defense cell and the letter, along with a follow-up interview, are masterful examples of twisting language to disguise intent. CAN “would advocate self-defense…of those who are being threatened by fascists, but not violence.”
It’s hard to believe that professors like this would ever be employed by a major university but that’s the world we live in. We live in a world where sitting members of Congress openly brag about supporting Antifa.
Here’s what Ellison is supporting.
From Los Angeles Times:
Thousands of demonstrators carrying signs with slogans like “Stand Against Hate” descended on Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Park on Sunday for what many hoped would be a peaceful march against bigotry and President Trump.
But it was soon punctuated by tear gas and a scattering of violent skirmishes. Some anti-fascist protesters, wearing black and with their faces covered, chased or beat Trump supporters and organizers who had scheduled and then canceled the “anti-Marxist” rally, citing concerns over safety.
Police, and in some cases other counter-protesters, stepped in to halt the violence or escort the victims away from the area. Officers reported 14 arrests, many of them for violations of the city’s emergency rules banning masks, sticks and potential weapons inside the demonstration area.
The clashes came despite widespread calls from activists and elected officials across the Bay Area for peaceful civil disobedience and underscore Berkeley’s growing reputation for violent reaction by the far left. Other protests earlier this year in the city turned ugly, with far-left and far-right forces fighting in the streets.
