R&B singer Seal blasted billionaire TV host Oprah Winfrey in an Instagram post, referring to her as ‘part of the problem’ regarding sexual harassment in ‘sanctimonious Hollywood.’
The post features a photo of Winfrey with sexual predator Harvey Weinstein.
He did this after Oprah’s Golden Globes speech, in which she spoke out about sexual harassment – among other pressing issues.
From Daily Caller:
Seal isn’t letting his own fame cloud his ability to see straight through the hypocrisy Hollywood put on full display at the Golden Globes on Sunday night.
“Oh I forgot, that’s right….. you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad,” Seal wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag #SanctimoniousHollywood at the end.
Pictures of Winfrey and Weinstein have been circulating around the internet for days.
People are wondering, did Oprah know? What did she know? If she knew, why didn’t she speak up?
More from Fox News:
Internationally renowned musician Seal trashed Oprah Winfrey on social media just days after her widely praised speech at the Golden Globe Awards on sexual misconduct in Hollywood, calling her a “part of the problem for decades.”
On Tuesday, comedian and “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane also spoke out against Winfrey, cautioning that celebrity power does not alone qualify a candidate for the presidency.
“Oprah is beyond doubt a magnificent orator,” MacFarlane wrote. “But the idea of a reality show star running against a talk show host is troublingly dystopian. We don’t want to create a world where dedicated public service careers become undesirable and impractical in the face of raw celebrity.”
More on Weinstein, per USA Today:
Disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein was shown being accosted by a diner at a Paradise Valley resort Tuesday night in a video posted on the tabloid-news website TMZ.
According to TMZ, the confrontation happened in Elements restaurant at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley.
Weinstein’s representative Sallie Hofmeister told The Arizona Republic in an email that TMZ’s report was accurate and did not provide further comment.
TMZ reported that the producer, who is said to be undergoing rehab through the exclusive Meadows center in Wickenburg, was eating dinner with his “sober coach” at about 9 p.m. when a man at an adjacent table asked to take a photo with him. Weinstein declined.
When Weinstein and the coach got up to leave, the other diner told his friend to start filming what was about to occur, TMZ reported.
The video shows the man walking up to Weinstein and saying, “You’re such a piece of s— for what you did to these women,” and slapping him in the face twice. Weinstein is seen caught off-guard.
TMZ reported that Weinstein declined to call police and left the restaurant. The Paradise Valley Police Department told The Arizona Republic that it had received no calls from the restaurant’s location nor reports about the incident.
