The scandal grows: Iconic liberal director accused of sexual assault

It seems like the grimy lid that has hidden the sleazy secrets of Hollywood has finally opened and all of the unsavory details of the entertainment industry — and the hypocritical lefties who run it — are spilling out.

And movie mogul Harvey Weinstein appears to represent just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Allegations of harassment have come out about many other others, including Ben Affleck, Amazon Studios’ chief Roy Price, and now controversial director Oliver Stone.

According to the New York Daily News,

Carrie Stevens, a former Playboy Playmate, claims that some 26 years ago, when she was just 22 years-old, Stone grabbed her breast at a party.

“He was really cocky, had this big grin on his face like he was going to get away with something,” Stevens, who was 22 at the time, told The News.

At that point, Stone “reached out and…honked it like a horn,” she said, describing him as “an immature guy in elementary school who snaps your bra.”

Stevens said she was surrounded by other people, but nobody said anything.

“That’s what’s going on in Hollywood. That’s why things have to change. He’s Oliver Stone. Nobody’s going to say anything,” she told The News.

Stone was already under the gun so to speak, taking heat left and right for his refusal to speak out and condemn the actions of Weinstein, stating he preferred to wait until the whole thing “went to trial.”

The bottom line here is that this sort of thing has been going on in Hollywood for decades and stretches far beyond Weinstein. Many child actors over the years have come out about the horrible abuse they suffered at the hands of directors and producers, so this shouldn’t be shocking.

What’s happening is a purge, a systematic flushing of the industry that absolutely needs to occur. This is exposing the hypocrisy of the leftist element in the movie business that talks about women’s rights out of one side of their mouths while sanctioning the abuse and harassment of women out of the other.

Those involved, if guilty, need to be held accountable. Let’s hope that’s precisely what happens.
