Here’s an idea: if you don’t know what you’re talking about, shut up, get yourself educated on the topic, and then open your mouth. For years and years liberals all around the country have employed an “open-mouth-insert-foot” approach to discussing guns and gun control.
A few years ago, Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO), who is as passionate about gun control as any in the nation, committed what the Denver Post called “one of the largest gaffes of her career” when she opened her mouth in front of microphones and demonstrated she had no idea the difference between bullets and magazines.
Sunday’s deadly attack in Las Vegas provided the platform for yet another highly visible liberal figure to show how little she knows about fire arms: Hillary Clinton wasted no time jumping onto the gun control bully pulpit, sending out politicized tweets while bodies were literally still arriving in operating rooms.
Clinton tweeting about silencers — before even knowing what weapons were used by the gunman — was more than conservative commentator Laura Ingraham could stand. Appearing on “Fox and Friends,” Ingraham took the gloves off, and lit the former First Lady up.
From the Daily Caller:
“Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham called out former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday for pushing gun control without having all the facts on the Las Vegas shooting.
“The politics of it is so inane at this point, but Hillary Clinton spoke before she knew any of the facts,” Ingraham said Tuesday during a “Fox and Friends” interview. “You can’t really put a silencer on an AR-15. Melts the barrel. It’s not what she said it is.”
Clinton tweeted on Monday, asking how much worse the shooting would have been if gunman Stephen Paddock, 64, used a silencer.
The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots.
Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.

Ingraham decried Clinton’s “level of ignorance” and was disgusted by her willingness to exploit a tragedy to advance a political agenda.
“She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Just a level of ignorance, and I found it to be despicable,” Ingraham said. “If Hillary Clinton wants to run for president again and take the 2nd amendment to the ballot box I think she should do it.”
Of course Ingraham is right, you can’t place a silencer on the kind of weapons Paddock was using. Even if you could, how do you manage to blame any of this on the NRA?
But, for Clinton’s loyal followers, ignorance is bliss — and, they’re likely in agreement.
