If we know one thing for sure, it’s that America’s celebrities live in an overwhelmingly liberal echo-chamber. From late-night comedians to A-list Hollywood actors, espousing liberal political beliefs is pretty much a requirement for the job. For those who attempt to deviate from acceptable forms of thought, the entertainment industry shuns them until they no longer exist.
For the most part, George Clooney has been the leader of this liberal Hollywood cult. Not only has Clooney been an outspoken liberal activist, but he has also hosted mega fundraisers for prominent Democratic politicians. When it comes to Hollywood liberal bonafides, nobody can question Mr. Clooney.
However, Clooney’s most recent take on Hillary Clinton is sure to turn more than a few heads. While Clinton has been busy on her
book excuse tour, you might expect the liberal actor to be sympathetic to her plight. Instead, he had some harsh words for the failed presidential candidate.
From the Daily Wire:
If you’re a Hollywood celebrity, then you’ve GOT TO be a Democrat.
Lean the other way and you get shunned, quietly blackballed, driven out of Tinsel Town.
And speaking ill about a Democratic presidential candidate? OMG, sacrilege!
But Hillary Clinton is different. She’s such a loser, such a sore and pathetic loser, that it’s suddenly OK to diss her without the slightest fear of retribution.
Enter George Clooney. He supported Hillary in the 2016 presidential campaign, even hosted a fundraiser for her, but he now says she just wasn’t cut out for the job.
“Being qualified for the job does not necessarily mean you’re the right person to be president,” Clooney said in an interview with The Daily Beast.
“Here’s what I mean… She was more qualified than even her husband was when he was elected president, but she’s not as good at communicating things. That’s simply true.
“When she got up and gave a speech, it didn’t soar. Now, that doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t have done a great job as president, and I supported her because by the time we did the fundraiser the primary was over at that point and it was time to get on with picking someone to move forward, and she was the right person to side with.”
While many will dismiss Clooney’s remarks, the actor actually shows a unique awareness of the facts. While others are busy blaming racism or the Russians, Clooney identified Clinton’s real problem….. people didn’t like her. Among the many problems facings Clinton’s campaign, perhaps the greatest obstacle was the fact that she couldn’t connect with voters in the same way Trump did.
Until now, most of the liberal establishment has been unwilling to see this harsh reality. In a surprising turn, Clooney is one of the first to admit the truth. Hillary Clinton lost because of Hillary Clinton, it’s as easy as that.
