Weeks ago, liberals were quick to morbidly express schadenfreude over the fact that conservative Texas faced so much devastation from Harvey – despite the fact that Harris County, where Houston is located – voted for Hillary in 2016.
But chortling while your fellow citizens suffer heart-wrenching loss is par for the course it seems for lefties.
We’re mere hours away from Irma’s wrath, and while the storm track seems to be shifting ever so slightly westward, most of the Florida peninsula will be in some way affected by the hurricane.
Naturally, this gave NBC a perfect opportunity for some Trump-bashing…

Really? This is the important part of possibly the biggest evacuation in Florida history?
Millions of people are being asked to evacuate because of the biggest storm in Florida's history, and you make it about Trump's property. 🤨 https://t.co/hnOfA1S4sl

It’s pretty easy to understand why.
I (Michele Hickford) am a Florida resident, but was fortunate enough to be able to get very far away. My thoughts and prayers are with my fellow Floridians (including Angela and Austen West who remained hunkered down) as we anxiously await the storm.
And thanks NBC, for your
kind unkind thoughts.
