In a new book excerpt, Hillary throws another ally under the bus

Huma Abedin’s martial problems became a problem for the Hillary Clinton campaign last year when Anthony Weiner’s third public sexting scandal made news. Since one of the women he was texting was underage, the FBI began investigating this time around. Weiner later pled guilty in May of this year to “transferring obscene material to an underage girl, and agreed not to appeal any sentence between 21 and 27 months in prison. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

In the course of the FBI’s investigation, it was also discovered that Huma routinely sent her husband classified information to print out for her — which was hardly a good look for a woman working for another with her own problems when it came to handling classified information. While Hillary places no blame on Huma, she is taking aim at Weiner in her new book What Happened — the title of which, if a question, would be answered merely by the name of its author: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

According to the Daily Mail:

[The book] details how the disgraced politician’s relationship with a minor female derailed her campaign and left his estranged wife emotionally shattered after a search of his computer led to a new investigation into her private email server.

In a section of ‘What Happened’ that was obtained by Radar Online, Clinton reportedly reveals that Huma Abedin sobbed on her shoulder after learning that the FBI would be launching a new probe into the presidential hopeful’s emails less than two weeks before the election.

‘This man is going to be the death of me!’ a ‘stricken’ Abedin said to Clinton before ‘bursting into tears’ in front of her boss.

‘Anthony had already caused so much heartache, and now this,’ writes Clinton.

She goes on to reveal that she never once blamed Abedin for the incident, saying: ‘She had done nothing wrong and was an invaluable member of my team. I stuck by her the same way she has always stuck by me.’

Clinton makes that claim despite the fact that Abedin was immediately taken off the campaign trail after news of the investigation broke and kept away from her boss until Election Day, when she returned to Hillary’s side for the first time.

Huma didn’t officially file for divorce until May of this year. That came not long after reports in March that she was “working hard” on her relationship with Weiner.

Maybe the fourth time would’ve been a charm.
