Hillary Clinton is releasing a new book talking about the 2016 election, signaling it’s an activity she plans to participate in for eons to come. But what’s really catching folks’ attention about this tome is how she’s burning The Bern — Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders.
Even in the Democratic Party, there is a split between the establishment and those who back pure progressivism, just like the division that exists in the GOP between career politicians and true conservatives.
Basically, Clinton says that Bernie did “lasting damage” that enabled Donald Trump to take the presidency.
According to CNN:
Hillary Clinton casts Bernie Sanders as an unrealistic over-promiser in her new book, according to excerpts posted by a group of Clinton supporters.
She said that his attacks against her during the primary caused “lasting damage” and paved the way for “(Donald) Trump’s ‘Crooked Hillary’ campaign.”
Clinton, in a book that will be released September 12 entitled What Happened, said Sanders “had to resort to innuendo and impugning my character” because the two Democrats “agreed on so much.”

The excerpts represent a small number of the roughly 500-page book in which Clinton reflects on her stunning loss to Donald Trump in 2016. The few pages on Sanders are also remarkably candid for a candidate who was more known for being careful than blunt, especially when it came to the Vermont senator.
“When I finally challenged Bernie during a debate to name a single time I changed a position or a vote because of a financial contribution, he couldn’t come up with anything,” Clinton wrote. “Nonetheless, his attacks caused lasting damage, making it harder to unify progressives in the general election and paving the way for Trump’s ‘Crooked Hillary’ campaign.”
One of the reasons the left and the right struggle to make any real progress is because they can’t seem to unite and stay on message together.
At the end of the day, Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party lost this election because the American people were sick of liars in the White House, and failed leftists policies.
Add to that the fact the DNC did everything in their power to prevent Bernie from becoming the candidate, and the reason for the loss becomes crystal clear.
They failed to deliver what liberals actually wanted: pure socialism. A horrifying thought, but it goes to show just how out of touch with reality career politicians are.
Hillary has no one to blame but herself for her loss, and the sooner she and the DNC realize that, the better off they’ll be.
But, then again, that doesn’t sell books…
