It’s really funny for me when there are progressive socialists who get their feelings hurt because I’m black and capable of independent thought.
For whatever reason, the leftists believe that my political philosophy has to be based on my skin color. That just goes to prove my assertion that the liberal progressive left is rooted in collectivism, not individual sovereignty. I guess to them my skin pigmentation should guide my alliance to elected officials and political groups whose policies are inconsistent with logic, reason and all that I hold dear.
So to the leftists who, for whatever reason, like to read my missives, I’ll continue to hammer away at Barack Obama. I suppose y’all are the real racists for believing that I must cheer-lead someone regardless of my principles. In plain southern vernacular, Obama sucked. If he were so very popular, the person saying they were going to continue his policies would be president.
And so today here’s another example of how much Barack Obama sucked. As reported by Fox 23,
“Iran’s president warned Tuesday that it could ramp up its nuclear program and quickly achieve a more advanced level if the U.S. continues “threats and sanctions” against his country, which signed a landmark nuclear accord with world powers in 2015.
Hassan Rouhani’s remarks to lawmakers were his most direct warning that the deal could fall apart and risked ratcheting up tensions with the United States. President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he wants to scuttle the accord, which limited Iran’s ability to produce a nuclear weapon while ending most sanctions against it. Fox23 reports:
Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said late Tuesday: “The nuclear deal must not become ‘too big to fail.’ … Iran, under no circumstances, can ever be allowed to have nuclear weapons,” she said in a statement. “At the same time, however, we must also continue to hold Iran responsible for its missile launches, support for terrorism, disregard for human rights and violations of U.N. Security Council resolutions.”
Earlier this week, Iran’s parliament voted to increase spending on the country’s ballistic missile program and the foreign operations of its paramilitary Revolutionary Guard. The move came in response to U.S. legislation passed earlier this month imposing mandatory penalties on people involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program and anyone who does business with them. The U.S. legislation also applies terrorism sanctions to the Guard and enforces an existing arms embargo.
If Washington continues with “threats and sanctions” against Iran, Tehran could easily step up its nuclear activities, Rouhani said in parliament Tuesday.
“In an hour and a day, Iran could return to a more advanced (nuclear) level than at the beginning of the negotiations” that preceded the 2015 deal, Rouhani said, though he underlined that Iran’s preference is to remain in the accord.”
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) pushed for by the Obama administration has been nothing but a complete and utter failure and has been totally disregarded by the Iranians. The agreement did nothing to end a nuclear weapons program by Iran; it just delayed the inevitable. And if you want to talk about the REAL collusion going on — not the made-up, leftist talking points — look no further than Iran and North Korea. At every turn, Iran has violated many basic premises of the JCPOA. Their ballistic missile tests and deployments of terrorist Iranian Revolutionary Guards — along with the purchase of specified conventional weapons — are evidence of their true intentions.
Of course, Iran, like North Korea, will come to learn that they are dealing with a different presidential administration. It’s one that will not be sending them pallets of cash with millions of dollars, laundered, in the middle of the night in an unmarked aircraft. Lest we forget, these are the same Iranians who took our sailors hostage and have been harassing our naval vessels and aircraft in the international waters of the Persian gulf. It’s a grand act of delusion by Hasan Rouhani, a supposed moderate, to make such an obtuse statement. The Iranians have come to believe (and well they should after eight years of Obama’s appeasement) that their belligerent behavior has no adverse consequence — heck, under Obama they were rewarded for it.
Yes, we’re correct in reinstating tough economic sanctions on Iran. Yes, we’re correct in ending this absurd exercise in foolishness called the JCPOA. The question here is, shall we?
President Trump campaigned on ending this ill-conceived second coming of Neville Chamberlain’s 1938 Munich Accords. However, we’ve heard little about disavowing this one-sided “agreement” since he was elected. It’s obvious that too many Obamabots remain in the Trump national security apparatus. And it appears that President Trump has a national security adviser who sides with those deep-state holdovers.
Let’s face reality: There’s no agreement here. This was an executive action taken by Barack Obama that, for all practical purposes, dies with his departure — as was the case with the Paris Climate Accord. The JCPOA is not a treaty, and thanks to the incompetence of Tennessee Republican Senator Bob Corker, a resolution disapproving the deal was filibustered by the Democrats and NEVER brought to the Senate floor for a vote.
No one wants a war, but no American should stomach threats coming from a terrorist state such as Iran. If you haven’t paid attention, Iran, under Obama’s nose, has expanded it hegemonic reach in the Middle East and is creating a massive land bridge from its border to the Mediterranean Sea. Iran has made Iraq a client state. Iran supports the Houthi rebels who have deposed a U.S.-friendly ruler in Yemen. They’re well-entrenched now, and conducting massive human rights violations in Syria. And Iran, through its proxy terrorist army, Hezbollah, is in a controlling position in Lebanon.
Sorry, this just doesn’t sound like a group of folks with whom we should have an “agreement.” It’s time for our nation to show resolve, unlike former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice, who believes we should just “accept” nuclear-armed belligerents such as North Korea and Iran. The question we must ponder is whether the current national security adviser, Lt. Gen. H R McMaster believes the same.
So yes, I’ll continue to criticize Barack Obama and what a mess he has left. Funny, you chuckleheads on the left did it for eight years, blaming George W. Bush. It has only been a little over 200 days since Boy Blunder has left the White House.
