The so-called “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which began last night quickly turned out to have more to do with ethnic nationalism than actual conservativism. Richard Spencer, the man responsible for coining the term “alt-right” (and a speaker at the rally) is an avowed socialist with no concern about the Constitution, rule of law, and limited government.

Phil, sure you don't like their nazi salutes and quotes, but #Charlottesville was peaceful.

The white nationalist rally began last night, as participants marched down the University of Virginia’s campus bearing Polynesian Tiki torches. Chants of “white lives matter” (no problem with that) were heard, alongside chants of “Jews will not replace it” (not OK).
The protests were met with a small group of counter protesters at UVA last night, and even larger groups (most ANTIFA-related) today. It’s Communists vs. Nazis, and neither side is worth rooting for (in fact, it could be said that both sides are “baskets of deplorables”).
Violence broke out last night – and today as an unknown suspect borrowed a page from the ISIS playbook and plowed his car through a crowd of protesters and counter-protesters. Fox News is reporting that at least one fatality has been confirmed.

The violence has been denounced by a number of high-profile figures on the Right – including President Trump.
Our country encourages freedom of speech, but let's communicate w/o hate in our hearts. No good comes from violence. #Charlottesville

The views fueling the spectacle in Charlottesville are repugnant. Let it only serve to unite Americans against this kind of vile bigotry.
— Paul Ryan (@SpeakerRyan) August 12, 2017
We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!

And in condemning the violence, Trump reminded us why apologizing to the Left is completely pointless. Just read the top replies to his condemnation from Twitter’s verified vultures:
You know, it would be great to see Trump tweet “2+2=4” just to read the liberals disagreeing with him over it.
