BOOM: Texas police just got a BIG surprise for illegals…

I recently shared a story with you about Travis County, TX. Sheriff Sally Hernandez, who has openly stated she won’t work with federal agents on illegal immigration. We also published a story about how her agency released a criminal illegal immigrant who had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer placed on him. The ICE agents had to go apprehend the individual at a house, which can expose them to unnecessary danger.

We also recently shared another story from Portland, Oregon, about a criminal illegal immigrant who had been deported some twenty times, yet continually reentered the United States — until he was arrested for raping a 65-year-old American woman.

Y’all know the story of Kate Steinle of San Francisco, yet the sheriff there supports maintaining sanctuary city status. And yes, y’all know that my own Dallas County, TX. commission voted 4-1 to be a sanctuary county. I guess that goes along with that United Nations’ Human Rights Council insanity.

With all that being said, I’m proud to tell you this story about real Texas law enforcement officers.

As reported by Fox News, “The acting director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency signed more than a dozen agreements with local Texas law enforcement entities on Monday, giving them the authority to perform certain functions as federal immigration agents.’

“Thomas Homan, who took over as the acting director of ICE in January 2017, signed 18 new agreements with Texas law enforcement agencies to allow officers to interrogate individuals who have been arrested because of their immigration status. Officers also will be able to place detainers on individuals.’

“‘It’s common-sense partnerships like these that help law enforcement achieve our mutual goals, and I’m encouraged by the increased interest from law enforcement professionals who seek to join this program and protect public safety,” Homan said in a statement.’

“The 287(g) program – which became law as part of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act in 1996 – enables state and local law enforcement entities to collaborate with and perform functions of federal immigration agents. ‘The 287(g) program is extremely helpful as it allows local law enforcement agencies to participate as an active partner in identifying criminal aliens in their custody, and placing ICE detainers on these individuals,’ Matthew Bourke, a spokesman for ICE, told Fox News. ‘Removing criminal aliens from our communities produces a higher level of public safety.”

“The 18 Texas law enforcement agencies – 15 of which are in the Houston area – will be deputized only under what is called the ‘jail enforcement model’ of the 287(g) agreement. ‘Under the [agreement], local law enforcement is not expected to determine the immigration status of individuals during the course of daily activities,’ Bourke said. ‘Only when they process someone into a detention facility.”

“So far, ICE has signed agreements with 60 law enforcement agencies in 18 states – including the agencies that participated in Monday’s event. 287(g) agreements have been signed in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.”

I will say that if the progressive socialist left truly believes that advocating for criminal illegal aliens against the American people is part of their “Better Deal,” they will bleed more elected seats in America. And if the liberal progressive media feels that attacking these programs as racist, or as Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Ca.) would say, extremist, they are widening the chasm with everyday Americans.

Over on CNN, it was a very delusional Margaret Hoover who stated that the focused assault against the domestic terrorist gang MS-13 is just a ploy to appease “white nationalists.” We need to have an ICE organization that dismisses the “sanctuary city” proclamations of these rogue progressive socialist mayors and others. This is about one thing: Enforcing the law and protecting the American people. How bizarre that an Arizona judge decided to hold Sheriff Joe Arpaio in contempt of court for enforcing the law … while Sheriff Sally Hernandez violates her oath to uphold the law and faces no retribution.

There is no such thing as selective enforcement based on your political ideology. That’s why it was great to see those Texas law enforcement officers step up and sign those MOAs (Memorandum of Agreement) with ICE to ensure our citizens are safe. There can be no “safe spaces” for those here who are criminal illegal aliens. We must make the decision: Do we believe in the rule of law or not? Actually, who are these people deciding what the law is?

If I could be so forward, I recommend y’all read the essay by French economist Frederic Bastiat, The Law, first published in 1850. Bastiat stated,

“It is not because men have made laws, that personality, liberty, and property exist. On the contrary, it is because personality, liberty, and property exist beforehand, that men make laws [natural rights theory of life, liberty, and property (pursuit of happiness)].’

“What, then, is the Law? As I have said elsewhere, it is the collection organization of the individual right to lawful defense. Nature, or rather God, has bestowed upon every one of us the right to defend his person, his liberty and his property, since these are the three constituent or preserving elements of life; elements each of which is rendered complete by the others, and that cannot be understood without them.’

“If every man has the right of defending, even by force, his person, his liberty and his property, a number of men have the right to combine together to organize a common force to provide regularly for this defense. The Law is the organization of the natural right of lawful defense; it is the substitution of collective for individual forces, for the purpose of acting in the sphere in which they have a right to act, of doing what they have a right to do, to secure persons, liberties, and properties and to maintain each in its right, so as to cause justice to reign over all.’

Our Constitution codifies this for our federal government, establishing justice and ensuring domestic tranquility.

That is the purest definition of what the law should be, and what government, the collective organization, should have as its primary focus – namely, organizing to ensure the individual person (life), liberty, and property are defended.”

So, someone explain to me, how does this insidious policy of “sanctuary cities” relate to the definition of the Law? It doesn’t, because what the progressive socialist Left has determined to be the law is what Bastiat predicted: “The law has been perverted through the influence of two very different causes – naked greed and misconceived philanthropy.” He coins the phrase, “legal plunder,” and this is what some elected officials seek to do by undermining the law, in the area of illegal immigration – in order to further their ideological agenda.

We are a nation of laws, first and foremost. We welcome immigrants – legal immigrants – who understand we are a nation of laws.

Those not embracing that fundamental concept are in violation of the Law.
