With one bold sentence, ICE director lowers the boom on sanctuary cities

Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan recently made an appearance on Fox News, and dropped some heavy words about sanctuary cities that are sure to leave liberals across the country howling with rage.

According to Homan, these cities are “un-American” and extremely hurtful to Americans.

The Daily Caller reports:

Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan slammed sanctuary cities Wednesday evening, calling them “un-American.”

Homan told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, “I’ve been doing this job almost 34 years and sanctuary cities, in my opinion, are un-American.”

“That’s not the America I grew up in,” he asserted.

Homan explained that sanctuary cities allow local jails to shield illegal aliens from ICE, preventing access and information that could lead to deportation. Instead, ICE has to wait for the illegal alien to be released and track them down on the streets.

“That is why the two legislative proposals that were introduced by Chairman Goodlatte, Kate’s Law and the sanctuary city law, so important,” he continued. “We have to make these people cooperate with us.”

“It’s an officer safety issue. It’s a community safety issue. Enough is enough with sanctuary cities.”

Sanctuary cities are indeed un-American, as they put our sovereignty, and security as a nation in peril, by concealing and rewarding those who violate our laws.

It also sends the message to others that breaking the law here in America doesn’t come with heavy consequences, which entices a certain kind of unsavory character to go ahead and come on over uninvited.

Getting rid of sanctuary cities will put the safety of citizens first and will ensure that dangerous criminals from other countries think twice before attempting to sneak in under the radar.
