Prior to her run for Senate, Elizabeth Warren was a professor at Harvard Law School. An impressive feat without a doubt, but interesting to note that at the time of all 350 Ivy League law professors teaching at the time, the vast majority earned their own degrees at a top 10 school, while Warren earned hers from Rutgers University, ranked 82nd. Only one Ivy League professor had a degree from a school ranked lower than Warren, a Yale professor who attended the University of Nebraska Law School, ranked 89th at the time.
While someone does has to be ranked last (or in this case, second to last), it’s hard not to view the fact as suspect given that Warren lied about having Native American heritage when applying to Harvard Law. As we all know now, she claims to be only 1/64th Cherokee, earning her the nickname “Pocahontas” (or Fauxcahontas) from the president.
Hilariously, among the Republicans stepping up to the plate to challenge her in 2018 for her Senate seat is Shiva Ayyadurai, an actual Indian-American (from Bombay, India), who is also challenging her heritage.
According to BizPacReview, Warren refused to take a DNA test mailed to her by Indian-American entrepreneur V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, who’s running against her for her U.S. Senate seat.
“I’m deeply saddened @SenWarren refused my thoughtful (gift-wrapped) Birthday Gift: the 23&me DNA Test Kit,” Ayyadurai tweeted Sunday. “Most unfortunate! #FakeIndian.”
Ayyadurai then posted hilarious screenshots of a DNA test kit he purchased online as a birthday gift for Warren, who turned 68 in June.

Ayyadurai is running on the slogan: “Only a real Indian can defeat the fake Indian.”
Pretty hilarious stuff – though one can only wonder why Warren refused the gift. Being zero percent Cherokee really isn’t that far off from being 1/64th Cherokee, so it’s not like she’s going to be caught in too big a lie.
