NOT a joke: CNN uses “Elmo” to attack Trump’s travel ban

This really is getting ridiculous. Is it just a race for ratings? Trump Derangement System? Or just an attitude of “what the heck, we’re going down in flames, might as well go BIG?” But CNN seems to be pulling out all the stops in demonstrating its bias, lack of journalistic integrity and just plain ol’ questionable taste.

Popular Sesame Street character “Elmo” (yes, a Muppet) was part of a panel discussion on CNN that included reporter Clarissa Ward, Sherrie Westin from Sesame Workshop, and David Miliband from the International Rescue Committee.

Elmo had apparently “visited” a refugee camp and met the children being housed there.

Elmo dutifully fulfilled his propaganda role by sympathizing with Syrian refugee children, saying they’re just like kids in America.

Ultimately (of course), the panel discussion turned to the temporary travel restrictions and an attack on Trump.

Per The Daily Wire, Miliband also addressed the US Supreme Court’s decision to uphold parts of Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban and the President’s stance on refugees.

“It’s worth saying, perhaps especially today, that this country, the US, receives very few refugees and there’s a lot of fear and loathing being put out.”

Of course there was no discussion in the panel about how the ban is only temporary. Or how many people in war-torn regions would prefer to stay in that part of the world where they speak the language and are familiar with the culture, and wish America would provide safe zones or help stabilize the region.

Nope, this was instead a buttock-clenchingly obvious ploy to tug at the heartstrings and ensure little children learn to parrot the liberal view.

Charming. Keep at it CNN.
