Immediately after Donald Trump’s stunning election victory, the left reacted with mass hysteria. Not only did they try to find ways to delegitimize Trump’s victory through recounts and the electoral college, but they also took to the streets and started massive riots. Sometimes, the riots were so out of hand that millions of dollars in property damage resulted from them.
Of course, the passing of time didn’t really do anything to calm things down. On Inauguration Day, liberal protesters staged one of their biggest protests yet. As police tried to make sure the chaos stayed away from the ceremony, vandals destroyed storefronts and set fires in the streets. Since then, these same tactics have been duplicated in “protests” across the country, usually in an attempt to silence conservative speakers.
Although it seems liberals have had a monopoly on vandalism lately, that might be about to change. Conservative pranksters in New York also decided to get in on the act, but something tells me the cleanup won’t be quite as expensive in this case.
From Fox News:
A sign marking the Crooked Hill Road exit off a suburban New York parkway has been vandalized to read “Crooked Hillary.”
Newsday initially reported about the additional “A-R-Y” that was added to the sign on Sagtikos Parkway.
“Crooked Hillary,” of course, is a moniker often used by President Donald Trump when referring to former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Unsurprisingly, the New York Department of Transportation was not amused:
“As soon as we were notified about the graffiti yesterday morning, it was removed,” a DOT spokesperson told Newsday. “Defacing public signs is illegal.”
The prank was made even more ironic by the fact that it happened in Hillary Clinton’s adopted home state, a place that elected her to serve in the U.S. Senate. Clinton also won the state by a large margin in the 2016 presidential election.
Funny or not, the pranksters did violate the law and should be held accountable. However, if this is the worst destruction of property carried out by conservatives in 2017, it will pale in comparison to the actions of the liberal “resistance.”
