Alert: Dems plotting MAJOR move next week to PUNISH Trump…

Since the day President Trump was elected, Democrats have been trying to find ways to make sure he can’t fulfill his agenda. At first, it was plots to try to overturn the election results. Recounts, Russian hacking allegations, and stealing the presidency through the electoral college were just a few of the insane ploys Democrats used to try and prevent Trump from seeing office.

Thankfully, none of these plans ever had a real chance of working. However, that hasn’t stopped Democrats from trying to block Trump once he did take office. Since then, the focus has been on attempting to impeach him or delegitimize his presidency. We have now spent months talking about Russian collusion… despite zero evidence to back up the claim.

Of course, Trump hasn’t let the stall tactics slow him down. Like the other efforts, this “investigation” is likely doomed to failure as well. Democrats are starting to notice, which is possibly why they have decided to switch gears. Although they haven’t given up on their impeachment pipe dream, the Party is openly planning the next stage of the fight. Their plan? Grind the government down to a halt.

From the Hill:

Senate Democrats are considering a strategy to slow down the chamber’s business next week in an effort to protest Republicans’ healthcare push, CNN reported Saturday.

Part of that plan includes using aggressive parliamentary maneuvers that would bar committees from meeting for more than two hours and other roadblocks that would ultimately hamper the Senate’s efforts to schedule votes.

The new strategy is an attempt to slow down Republican progress on the Obamacare replacement bill:

The bill would likely alter large parts of the country’s healthcare system, but Senate GOP leaders have mostly crafted it behind closed doors, leaving many lawmakers concerned and wary of what it could include.

CNN reported that Senate Democrats could call for an open process for consideration of the healthcare bill as part of their parliamentary protest.

The news of the possible move comes shortly after President Trump blasted Democrats for obstructing his agenda, tweeting “The Democrats, without a leader, have become the party of obstruction. They are only interested in themselves and not in what’s best for U.S.”

Although Democrats have largely brushed aside that accusation, behind closed doors they seem to be doing everything they can to prove the president right. Despite the admitted flaws plaguing Obamacare, Democrats have been unwilling to work with the GOP to fix the broken healthcare law.

Despite a week of calls for greater unity and bipartisanship, Democrats have shown they have no interest in making a good faith effort to work with the President Trump. The trend that started Election Day seems to have no end in sight.
