Attendees coming to the Pride March in New York City are in for a special treat thanks to a local craft beer brewery.
Those who will be at the event will be able to celebrate their sexuality — whatever they identify that to be– by throwing back a few gender neutral beers.
The Washington Times, Brooklyn-based Threes Brewing plans on capitalizing on thirsty members of the LGBT community this month with the June 22 release of a new lager called “Gender Neutral.” The flavor will debut at a “Human Rights are Gender Neutral” party in celebration of the city’s Pride Week.
Pre-sale for the beer begins June 14.
“As we grow and are starting to get some attention, we think it’s incumbent upon us to use whatever platform we have to make a difference about issues we care deeply about,” co-founder Joshua Stylman told Patch on Wednesday.
Attendees will be able to choose from over 60 different options, including “Temporary Identity,” and “I Hate Myself,” for their drinking pleasure. Gosh, that sounds cheery.
The event is scheduled for June 22 and will be televised for the first time on the city’s local ABC affiliate.
The biggest issue with companies getting involved in political causes is that they run the risk of alienating a portion of the demographic who might otherwise purchase their products.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that same sort of tolerance is extended to Christians who choose not to participate in certain events by providing services to certain functions that would compromise their belief system.
According to liberal thought, what’s good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.
