REVEALED: Here’s what Megyn CUT from her Putin interview

Megyn Kelly’s debut interview at NBC with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week was widely regarded to be a flop. Putin rebuffed her inquiries about potential Russian interference in the U.S. election, and turned the tables on her, stating that it’s America that has a tendency to meddle with foreign elections.

Putin also had a number of memorable quips, at one point stating in a Trumpesque fashion, “You people are so creative over there. Good job. Your lives must be boring.”

And those were just the moments the public got to see. In reality, there were plenty of other jabs Putin made that didn’t make it into the final cut — such as when Putin joked that Megyn should be put in jail.

According to The Express:

It was during their discussion on Mr Putin’s links to Mr. Flynn that the Russian leader appeared to flirt with the presenter.

He told her: “You and I, you and I personally, have a much closer relationship than I had with Mr. Flynn.

“You and I met yesterday evening. You and I have been working together all day today. And now we’re meeting again.”

During the interview on the first edition of Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly, the host brought up the topic of a photograph taken in Moscow last year.

In the picture, which has been widely circulated in the US media, President Putin is seen sitting next to Mr Flynn at a table during a dinner celebrating ten years of Moscow-backed broadcaster Russia Today.

Mr. Putin insisted the picture summed up “the extent of my acquaintance with Mr. Flynn.”

He said: “When I came to the event for our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman sitting on one side.

“I made my speech. Then we talked about some other stuff. And I got up and left. And then afterwards I was told, ‘You know there was an American gentleman. He was involved in some things. He used to be in the security services’.

“That’s it. I didn’t even really talk to him.

“If Mr. Flynn and I had this kind of interaction, while you and I, we have spent an entire day together, and Mr. Flynn was fired from his job, you then should be arrested and put in jail.”

That last line never made it into the interview that NBC aired. Below is a Russian report on the edited interview (with English subtitles):
