DOH! CNN contributor reveals “brilliant” strategy to defeat ISIS

How great it must be working as a political analyst for CNN, as nowhere else can you pay no price for having a complete disregard of reality.

It’s particularly great for Sally Kohn, a woman who we find ourselves at reporting on every couple of weeks for having said something so stupid we think she won’t be able to top it. Our predictions have been wrong every time.

This time the Sharia-law defending lesbian pundit unveiled her plan to fight Islamic terrorism (you know, those guys who want to implement Sharia law), and her plan makes about as much sense as you’d expect. Apparently, sticking a Coexist bumper sticker on your car and ignoring reality is all it will take!

As the Daily Caller reported, liberal CNN contributor Sally Kohn wants to fight terrorism with “tolerance” and “political correctness.”

President Trump demanded an end to political correctness in counterterrorism following the London terror attacks that left seven people dead and dozens more wounded. Kohn took offense at the president’s tweets and fired back, saying that political correctness are, according to her, the solutions to terrorism.

“Political correctness is simple idea everyone should be treated with equal dignity [and] respect. It’s not cause of terrorism. It’s antidote,” Kohn wrote in a series of tweets. “When we make political correctness the scapegoat, we undermine values of tolerance and equality that are ALWAYS our best weapon against hate.”

“Of course we can’t snap our fingers make all current terrorists just become more tolerant and respectful,” she conceded. “But long term, do we help future would-be terrorists turn toward respect, tolerance, away [from] hate? Or do we become more hateful ourselves? Our values of pluralism and inclusion and equality are under attack. The answer to terrorism CANNOT be to throw away our values.”

We’re quite fortunate that we don’t live in a world where terrorists only turn to extremism because people are mean towards them. Jews experience hate crimes at a rate ten times higher than that of Muslims in the U.S., but that lack of “tolerance and respect” hasn’t exactly driven them to mass murder. Nor did anyone expect the Broadway play “The Book of Mormon” (which skewers the religion) to lead to a rise in Mormon extremism in response. The same could hardly be said if “The Book of Islam” instead were a forthcoming play.

If only there was one belief system in common that all these terrorist attacks had in common that we could address.
