What CNN host just said about liberals is BLOWING MINDS

We’ve reported on campus craziness countless times here on www.allenbwest.com, and it’s always been exclusively a left-wing phenomenon. Seldom are there conservative students de-platforming speakers, complaining their cafeteria food is racist, or worrying that the presence of a Chick-fil-A on campus will create an “unsafe” environment.

While there’s no shortage of social justice kooks in the media, there are some on the left who’ve gone out of their way to distance themselves from the insanity. Perhaps the most prominent of them is Bill Maher, who has made it a habit of roasting social justice warriors on his show just as harshly as he attacks those on the political right. He partially blames identity politics for Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump, and the alienating effect it had on the white working class certainly was a contributing factor.

The latest to speak out is CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, who is calling out liberals for their hypocrisy on the issue of “tolerance,” which rarely means tolerance of opposing ideas.

According to Townhall, earlier this year, Fareed Zakaria warned his fellow “liberals” against partaking in Trump Derangement Syndrome, or a “hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people’s judgment.” Given that many journalists deny the existence of TDS, Zakaria’s words were remarkable.

On his show Sunday, Zakaria referred to multiple recent instances of conservative speech being censored on college campuses, and told liberals that they, not conservatives, are the intolerant ones – that they are not “liberal.”

“The world liberal in this context has nothing to do with today’s partisan language, but refers instead to the Latin root, pertaining to liberty. And at the heart of liberty in the Western world has been freedom of speech. From the beginning, people understood that this meant protecting and listening to speech with which you disagreed.”

Well, you know what they say about a broken clock…
