Ever since Donald Trump entered the 2016 presidential race and now throughout his short term, he’s been consistently attacked for being a bigot. Whether it’s homophobia, Islamophobia, sexism, or racism. You name it, Trump is all of them.
Of course, there has never been much evidence presented to back up these claims. Typically, his critics take remarks he’s made or positions he has out of context. The intent has always been to slander and deceive.
Realistically, the best way to judge a man is by his actions, not his words (or the words as interrupted by a biased media). When applying that standard, Trump is obviously far from a bigot. That’s why even though Trump has been painted as a threat to minorities in America, one prominent black leader isn’t buying it.
From PJ Media:
Following his inauguration, Trump’s most overt outreach to African Americans has been his efforts to woo students and leaders of black colleges that were founded in the years after the Civil War and today consist of 101 public and private schools nationwide.
“For [President] Obama, people expected him to come in and fix everything — especially for black people. … But he never campaigned strongly for HBCUs,” said Walter Kimbrough, president of Dillard University in New Orleans, using the common abbreviation for the schools.
Trump’s efforts to reach out to historically black colleges has been a surprise to many. However, the work is starting to pay dividends, and administrators are starting to notice. So much so, in fact, that Kimbrough went on to say that Trump has been better than Obama in this regard:
In the first four months of this presidency, the Trump administration has been far more responsive to our community than the past administration,” Taylor said. “I, for one, judge people by what they do — not what they say.”
The fact that Trump’s outreach is being noticed is a huge step forward. The negativity surrounding Trump entering office had to leave some administrators worried about the future. Now they know they have a president that will stand by their side.
The comments directly contradict everything liberals have been trying to make us believe about Donald Trump. Of course, the media never lets the facts get in the way of a good narrative. Once again, another liberal lie bites the dust.
