As the media does everything it can to drum up fake scandals about President Trump, some are still fighting to find out the truth about real scandals under Barack Obama. And thanks to the hard work of activists at Judicial Watch, we might be closer to finding out the truth about what Obama knew in the aftermath of Benghazi. Just don’t expect the mainstream media to report it.
From the Blaze:
A federal judge has ordered the State Department to release previously redacted information in Hillary Clinton emails concerning the Obama administration’s response in the immediate aftermath of the terror attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in 2012.
Judicial Watch, a conservative government watchdog that has closely followed the Benghazi investigation, announced U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson’s order on Friday. According to the group, Jackson ordered the State Department turn over “eight identical paragraphs” of information redacted from two Clinton emails on Sept. 13, 2012.
As you may recall, the Obama administration continued to blame an obscure Youtube video for the attack for weeks. However, these previously redacted emails are from just days after the incident:
The contents of the emails include summaries of conversations then-President Barack Obama had with leaders of Egypt and Libya following the attack two days earlier, which left four Americans dead, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.
The subject line on the emails read: “FW: Quick Summary of POTUS Calls to Presidents of Libya and Egypt.”
The emails will reveal what Obama knew and when he knew it, which has been the cause of speculation for almost 6 years. Many believe the administration lied to the American people about the true nature of the attack to avoid serious damage to his 2012 reelection bid.
The emails were pulled from Hillary Clinton’s homebrewed email server, which could also provide even more evidence that Clinton and Obama were careless with sensitive national security information.
Whether or not revealing the previously redacted emails provide the smoking gun some are looking for remains to be seen. However, the order shows that just because Clinton lost and Obama left office, they’re still not in the clear. Some people remain committed to the truth, even if there is no political gain. Obama and Clinton could learn something from that.
