The mainstream media have been energetically pushing the narrative that Vladimir Putin and the evil Russians colluded with Donald Trump’s campaign to ensure Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton.
It was all that “election hacking” by the Russians, messing up the vote count. Okay, maybe not that. So then it MUST have been the hack into the DNC emails, which showed how the Democrat Party was colluding with the media and working against Bernie from the get-go. Ok, maybe not that either. But how about when FBI Director James Comey at the very last minute decided to review a few more of Hillary’s emails which were sent from her private server. THAT was the Russians, right? Ok maybe not that either.
Nonetheless, the mainstream media just KNOWS the Russians were all OVER Donald Trump, right? And that’s why Hillary lost, right?
Well a new report from “Democrat strategists” has just been released supposedly identifying once and for all why Hillary lost. And the amazing thing is, there’s not a SINGLE WORD about Russia in it – of course that little tidbit is nowhere in the mainstream media’s report.
Here’s the story per MSN: A group of top Democratic Party strategists have used new data about last year’s presidential election to reach a startling conclusion about why Hillary Clinton lost. Now they just need to persuade the rest of the party they’re right.
Many Democrats have a shorthand explanation for Clinton’s defeat: Her base didn’t turn out, Donald Trump’s did and the difference was too much to overcome.
But new information shows that Clinton had a much bigger problem with voters who had supported President Barack Obama in 2012 but backed Trump four years later.
Those Obama-Trump voters effectively accounted for more than two-thirds of the reason Clinton lost, according to Matt Canter, a senior vice president of the Democratic political firm Global Strategy Group. In his group’s analysis, about 70 percent of Clinton’s failure to reach Obama’s vote total in 2012 was because she lost these voters.
So allow us to translate this: People didn’t like her. More people liked Trump better.
She was not a good candidate. She didn’t energize anyone.
Oh and one more thing: Democrats didn’t — and don’t – have a compelling message, and liberal policies have a horrendous track record.
But they can continue to dig through the data and try to find clues in voter turnout. If they keep pushing the same failing ideas they’ll get the same result over and over again. And that’s ok by us.
But can we please stop talking about “Russia?”
