Last night, President Trump skipped the White House correspondents’ dinner in Washington and instead spent the evening with a crowd of boisterous supporters at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.
Trump spent a considerable portion of his remarks excoriating the media and its one-sided coverage of his first 100 days, citing a recent study by MRC showing that 89 percent of the coverage from ABC, CBS and NBC was negative towards him.
He made mention of the dinner he was missing…with great relief.
“As you may know there is another big gathering taking place tonight in Washington D.C.. Did you hear about it? [BOOING] A large group of Hollywood actors and Washington media are consoling each other in a hotel ballroom in her nation’s capital right now. [APPLAUSE] They are gathered together for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner without the President.”
“And I could not possibly the more thrilled than to be more than 100 miles away from Washington swamp, spending my evening with all of you and with a much, much larger crowd and much better people, right? Right.”
After Trump pointed out the members of the media in attendance, the crowd spontaneously broke out into a chant, to ensure the liberal media heard them loud and clear.
Trump brought the message home:
Media outlets like CNN and MSNBC are fake news. Fake news. And they are sitting, and they are wishing in Washington. They are watching right now, they are watching and they would love to be with us right here tonight. [APPLAUSE] But they are trapped at the dinner which will be very, very boring.

While the façade of “objective reporting” had been completely ripped off the smug faces of mainstream media, they still continue to report business as usual. The difference is, we the people are calling them out at every turn. Isn’t it glorious?
