Wow! Pence takes YUGE step toward getting Trump’s healthcare passed

President Trump made many promises during his campaign, and thus far, he’s done a good job of keeping them, though he’s faced many challenges in accomplishing his biggest promise: the repeal and replacement of Obamacare.

The president attempted to pass a bill that made some changes to the health care system in America, but many folks felt it didn’t quite go far enough to completely remove and replace all of the Affordable Care Act, or open up the free market to fix the system.

The Freedom Caucus largely did not support the legislation, causing it to fail spectacularly.

Vice-President Mike Pence may have just brokered some additional support from the group, thanks in large part to an amendment to the bill he just negotiated.

This is all well and good — and a step toward getting rid of Obamacare, but it doesn’t seem likely folks are going to jump on board with any plan put forward by Trump that doesn’t include erasing the restrictions that prevent consumers from buying coverage across state lines.

A free market is the only solution for equalizing insurance coverage and increasing competition to drop prices low enough to be truly affordable.

Along with that, ensuring people can take their coverage with them wherever they work is also key to fixing our broken health care system.

Let’s hope these measures are included in the final product before it ever goes up for a second vote, so we can fix the mess brought on by Obamacare.
