Associated Press caught hiding CRUCIAL detail in shooter story; INSTANTLY regrets it

One of the most difficult things to explain about the liberal left is its obsession with protecting the reputation of Islam.  As repeatedly pointed out by Republicans on the 2016 campaign trail, Barack Obama flatly refused to utter the words “radical Islam” or “Islamic terror” and refused to allow any in his administration to do so either.

Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen was on the phone with 911 operators while engaged in his bloody slaughter at Pulse Nightclub. For sixteen minutes he conveyed that he was acting for the glory of Allah and issued praise for and allegiance to ISIS, yet when the Obama Dept. of Justice released transcripts of the phone call it redacted all of Mateen’s references to Islam.

Now it’s the Associated Press’ turn.

On Tuesday a Muslim man, Kori Ali Muhammad, killed three white people in Fresno, California.  Muhammed was yelling  “Allahu Akbar!” while doing his killing. As did Mateen, as did Nidal Hasan, as do many if not most, if not all radical Islamic murderers who are killing in the name of their god.  Yet when the AP began tweeting out its coverage of the story it for some reason saw fit to translate Muhammed’s words rather than offer a verbatim quote.

From The Daily Caller:

“The Associated Press edited the words of a Muslim man who allegedly killed three white people in downtown Fresno Tuesday afternoon and shouted “Allahu Akbar!”

The suspect, 39-year-old Kori Ali Muhammad, holds fervent anti-Trump beliefs according to his social media profile, and he told police afterward that he hates white people.

Rather than reporting the gunman’s literal words, however, the AP reported the gunman as saying “God is great.”

On Twitter, the AP’s report gave no indication that the suspect’s words were said in Arabic.

The AP took flack on Twitter for the edits, which some said was meant to downplay the shooter’s ties to Islam.

In a day and age when the public is becoming acutely aware of “fake news” stories and sources one would think an agency such as the Associated Press which really has no businesses outside of news provision would be extra careful of reporting facts by adding nor taking away anything from them. But this is Islam and for whatever reasons the desire to protect its reputation is so strong that even a 171-year old news agency its willing to compromise its reputation for truth and honest reporting in order to do it.

Why is a mystery for the ages. This is not ‘news;’ it’s the AP’s version of events. There’s a difference. The shooter spoke English. He could have said “God is great!” if he wanted to but he didn’t. He CHOSE to say “Allahu Akabar!”

Liberals are the first ones to shout about a Christian who’d prefer not to bake a cake for a gay wedding and call that baker “Filled with hate” but are the last ones to whisper a peep about a Muslim throwing a gay man off the roof of a tall building — and no one knows why.  But this isn’t Occupy Democrats or the HuffPo; we should expect and demand better from a seasoned news agency like the AP.
