As you all remember, President Donald Trump was mocked after referencing what happened “last night in Sweden” while making the case against mass Muslim migration. It turns out that he was actually referencing a report that aired on Fox News the day prior documenting the massive increase in violence (particularly of a sexual nature) in the multicultural “paradise.”
Ironically, in the city where the phenomenon of the “Stockholm Syndrome” appropriately originated, there was a massive immigrant riot in Stockholm just days after Trump’s comment. And now, you can add terrorism to the list of consequences from Sweden’s cultural enrichment.
NBC News is reporting that a truck was driven into a department store in an “attack” in the center of Stockholm tod, causing deaths and injuries.
Pictures from the scene showed a truck plowed into the side of the Ahlens department store in the city’s downtown area. Eyewitnesses described panic as smoke from the crash filled the building.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said everything indicated the incident was an act of terrorism, according to Reuters quoting the TT News Agency, Sweden’s national wire service.
Swedish radio said three people have been killed and Swedish broadcaster SVT said shots have been fired — although police would not confirm either of these details. The Telegraph reported five dead.
Attacks using vehicles are becoming more and more common among Islamists ever since the attack in Nice, France, which killed 86 and injured 434. In an issue of ISIS’ Rumiyah magazine in November, jihadists were advised to launch vehicle attacks, citing the Nice attack as a “superb demonstration.” The method of the attack is presumably one of the signs pointing to terrorism, as is the fact that the truck belonged to a brewery claiming it was hijacked by the assailant before it was crashed.
The most recent terror attack in Stockholm prior to this was in 2010 when an Iraqi-born individual killed himself while detonating two bombs…. that killed no one else.
Given Sweden’s positive attitudes towards multiculturalism, when this is revealed to be an Islamist attack, their politicians will undoubtedly claim it had nothing to do with the religion of Islam, and the public will agree. Who would’ve thought that those in Stockholm would all be cursed with Stockholm Syndrome?
