Democrats have been desperately trying to delegitimize the Trump presidency. With their media allies, Democrats have been spreading misinformation about Trump on everything from colluding with Russia, to being a habitual liar. Instead of focusing on making life better for everyday Americans, Democrats are still bitter about losing the election.
For the most part, efforts to derail the Trump agenda have been a failure. People just don’t trust the media or the Democratic Party right now. Of course, that hasn’t stopped them from continuing to swing and miss. In the most recent example, former Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice accused Trump of “seriously contorting the facts.” The only problem? Nobody is more guilty of that than…yep, Susan Rice.
From The Blaze:
Susan Rice, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and national security adviser to President Barack Obama, said the U.S. is less safe when the White House doesn’t tell the truth, a statement for which Twitter users relentlessly mocked her, given her 2012 statements about Benghazi.
In 2012, Rice, who was then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, went on five Sunday talk shows and blamed the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed four Americans, including an ambassador, on an anti-Islam YouTube video. The Obama administration was later forced to walk back that narrative amid questions of a possible cover-up.
Of course, Rice knew the entire time the story about the video was false. But that didn’t stop her from spreading it. Predictably, Twitter had a field day with the comment:
In Trump’s America, Democrats have become oblivious to their own hypocrisy. The party is so desperate to derail President Trump, they’ve apparently begun to suffer from short-term memory loss. Unfortunately for them, the American voter has proven to have a memory span lasting more than four years.
That means bad news for Democrats at the ballot box.
