BREAKING: New details emerge for terror attack on UK government…

Police opened fire on and killed a knife-wielding attacker outside the grounds of the UK’s Parliament earlier today.

Similar to the Islamist attacks in Nice, France, and at Ohio State University, the attacker had attempted to mow down pedestrians in a car prior to carrying out his knife attack. The man was described as a “middle-aged Asian” who then broke into the grounds of the House of Parliament, stabbed a police officer, and was shot.

According to The Sun, we now know one woman was killed and others ‘catastrophically’ injured. Prime Minister Theresa May was in the “voting lobby” at the time of the attack and was bundled into a car.

One witness said, “We were taking photos of Big Ben and we saw all the people running towards us, and then there was an Asian guy in about his 40s carrying a knife about seven or eight inches long. He had a lightweight jacket on, dark trousers and a shirt. He was running through those gates, towards Parliament, and the police were chasing him.”

There were reports of other violent incidents nearby, and police said that they were called to an incident involving a firearm at nearby Westminster bridge (where the suspect’s car collided with a number of people).

UK’s metro police are treating this as a terrorist attack until any evidence is to suggest otherwise.

Below is a summary of what we know thus far, courtesy of Sky News:

Was it an Islamist attack? Certainly anyone who speculates as much runs the risk of being branded a bigot – but remember it was the words of London’s Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan, who said terror attacks are just “part and parcel” of urban life.
