Tours at the White House resumed today after a seven week pause, and President Donald Trump decided to surprise the first group to tour.
Trump walked out to surprise a group of 50 or so people, consisting mainly of 5th graders who were on a class trip. The crowd broke out into cheers as Trump entered, and he gestured for them to come towards him.
Here’s the footage from two angles:

After making his gesture, 10-year-old Jack Cornish ran over to Trump to pose for a photo with him.

After taking a photo with Cornish, Trump left the group to complete their 45-minute tour. Trump had made time to surprise the group in-between meetings.
While the appearance was brief, a few sharp eyes noticed one bit of irony captured in the moment: the president made his cameo while standing directly in front of a portrait of Hillary Clinton.
The portrait is, of course, of Hillary Clinton as “First Lady.” Thank God they didn’t have to make a second for “President” Hillary.
