It’s no secret that President Trump triggers liberals in Hollywood on a daily — possibly minute by minute — basis, but some of the junk coming out of these people who are dedicating their time to bashing the man is getting way out of hand.
Film director Judd Apatow recently decided to express his feelings on the new administration…and what he had to say should be infuriating women of all political persuasions.
Apatow compared Trump’s presidency to being raped.
Very poor choice of words, wouldn’t you agree?
According to The Washington Times
Filmmaker Judd Apatow gave a rare standup performance in Los Angeles Saturday night, using the opportunity to spend most of his routine zinging President Trump and his family.
Mr. Apatow, an outspoken critic of Mr. Trump, had joined Pete Holmes at the Regent Theater to promote their HBO series “Crashing.” Mr. Apatow started off his set by saying the president’s election victory made him feel like “a person about to get raped, but I didn’t know how bad it would be,” The Daily Beast reported.
Mr. Apatow said now that Mr. Trump is president, “I feel like I’ve just been raped and I just don’t know if I’m going to get murdered.”
Wow. Just wow.
Where’s all the feminist outrage over these incredibly insensitive remarks?
After the Women’s March, and outrage over Trump’s “remarks about women,” and for all that talk about equality for women and “rape culture” where is the “sisterhood” now?
It’s perfectly acceptable to make such horrific statements and belittle the pain and suffering of rape victims so long as you’re a raging leftist? Since when is violence against women funny fodder for “comedy?”
The one thing Hollywood liberals lack is consistency in espousing their beliefs, and the actual practice of those principles, proving that it’s just rhetoric they use to look cool, hip, and forward-thinking.
Perhaps Apatow should do the right thing and issue an apology? After all, President Trump did.
