The only thing it seems liberal celebrities love more than money is attention, which is why they adore this generation’s hashtag activism and getting involved with as many social causes as possible, whether they actually buy into them or not.

While plenty examples of this behavior abound, the latest comes from the Oscars, that, like other award shows, exemplifies an opportunity for political discourse, rather than an evening to reward the efforts of actors and filmmakers.

This disease has led one of Hollywood’s premier talent agencies to cancel its annual Oscar party in favor of, get this, a “refugee party.”

Someone is clearly triggered by Trump.

According to BizPacReview:

Now one of the industry’s top talent agencies is forgoing its annual Oscars party and instead hosting a refugee rally. United Talent Agency will also be making a sizable donation to a group fighting President Donald Trump’s executive order banning travel from seven Muslim-majority nations.

“This is a moment that demands our generosity, awareness and restlessness,” UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer wrote to the agency’s staff, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Our world is a better place for the free exchange of artists, ideas and creative expression. If our nation ceases to be the place where artists the world over can come to express themselves freely, then we cease, in my opinion, to be America,” Zimmer wrote.

UTA will be donating $250,000 to the American Civil Liberties Union and humanitarian organization, the International Rescue Committee.

It will also play host to a pro-immigration rally at its Los Angeles office two days before the Academy Awards ceremony which will be broadcast on Feb. 26. Viewers tuning in for the usual glamorous Oscars spectacle will likely be in for plenty of anti-Trump political rhetoric as celebrities take the stage.

You know, it’s great these celebrities, these grown children who get paid to play pretend, are finally starting to put their fortunes where their mouths are, but it’s still not enough.

If you truly believe in helping refugees, then open those big mansions and estates you have and move some of these folks in personally.

These individuals have many spare rooms that could easily house hundreds of these poor, poor refugees. Please show us this infamous compassion we are lectured so much about — so we know how it’s really done.

Yeah, like that’s going to happen.
