It seems Maricopa County, Arizona’s new sheriff isn’t too eager to make friends with his predecessor’s fanbase, given how he plans to approach the problem of illegal immigration — a hot button topic that’s been at the forefront of the political dialogue in our country for the last year.
Legendary Sheriff Joe Arpaio had a well established reputation for being one tough fellow, and refused to play along with political correctness, doing his job passionately to fight against illegals coming into the nation and threatening his people.
His replacement, Sheriff Paul Penzone, is taking a totally different approach, and it’s not going to make a whole lot of folks very happy — at least not conservative folks.
According to BizPacReview:
Residents in Maricopa County, Arizona may end up getting much more than they bargained for with the election of a new sheriff to replace “America’s Toughest Sheriff” Joe Arpaio.
Sheriff Paul Penzone was sworn in Wednesday and he does not share his predecessor’s tough stance on illegal immigration.
The now former sheriff who was targeted by President Barack Obama’s administration for enforcing U.S. immigration laws called a spade a spade, and an illegal immigrant an illegal immigrant, but Penzone will not use that term… or the more politically correct “undocumented immigrants,” for that matter.
Instead, the new sheriff will refer to those who defy our laws as “guests” as he looks to establish a “caring community” that focuses on crimes other than illegal immigration.
Penzone said he looked forward to working with the open border folks at ACLU in complying with a federal court order to stop so-called discrimination against Latinos, according to ABC 15 Arizona.
Now, illegals who have zero respect for our laws can enter our country and totally relax knowing their precious self-esteem is going to be a top priority amongst law enforcement officials they’re likely to meet along their journey.
No longer are they criminals, they’re our guests! Somewhere, Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast is just dying to burst into song. If you listen closely, you can hear the tune now. Be our guest!
These people aren’t guests. They’re here illegally and many are coming here in order to mooch off the system or participate in some sort of criminal enterprise. It’s sad, but true.
Many of those who cross our borders unlawfully are members of cartels bringing harmful drugs into our cities, causing death and suffering.
Simply put, there’s no room for political correctness and liberal pandering in the realm of law enforcement, especially when our national security is at stake.
This situation needs to be rectified pronto. We’re ready for that wall, Mr. President.
