Seems hard to believe it’s been only eight years since B. Hussein Obama moved into the Oval Office — or maybe it seems like an eternity. it certainly feels like a nightmare, and fortunately we’re about to wake up.
in any event, as we look back on his “historic” presidency, there’s one particular fact that bears noting.
Remember when Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after being in office for…like 20 minutes and had no foreign policy experience let alone achievements to speak of? That’s kind of like handing out a Grammy to someone singing karaoke because they just might have a hit song one day.
But in terms of bringing “peace” to the world, Obama will be the first president in history to be at war every single day of his eight-year terms.
Oh, and he bombed seven nations. A lot.
In fact, according to Zero Hedge, a total of 26,171 bombs were dropped on foreign countries around the world in 2016, 3,027 more than 2015. The number is likely to be higher as one air strike can involve multiple bombs.
Here’s the tally, according to an analysis of Defense Department data from the Council on Foreign Relations, a non-partisan think tank.
Yep, that’s a bunch of peace — or a piece of…Oh, whatever.
