In just over a month since he was elected, President-elect Donald Trump has said plenty of things that have sent liberals into veritable tizzies, while inspiring long-absent optimism in Americans who deeply love this country. Many of us are still pinching ourselves that our nation has stemmed the tide of far-left policy and political correctness that has been both slowly and not-so-slowly killing it.
Well, ’tis the season for good cheer, and what President-elect Trump just said in Michigan will definitely have you cheering.

Fox News has more:
At a rally in Michigan yesterday, President-elect Donald Trump heralded what he called the return of the ubiquity of the phrase “Merry Christmas” during the festive season.
“We’re going to start saying Merry Christmas again,” Trump said, noting that over the past number of years many department stores have kept their more secular decorations, like fake snow, red walls and bells, “but they don’t have ‘Merry Christmas’.”
Trump appeared to echo some of the sentiments expressed by Bill O’Reilly in a 2013 monologue, in which the “O’Reilly Factor” host responded to comments by comedian Jon Stewart.
O’Reilly said that in recent times, the secular-progressive movement has instituted somewhat of a “war” on the idea of Christmas as a widely-accepted holiday.
It’s hard to dispute the fact that slowly but surely, “Christmas” itself has been sanitized out this season, as political correctness has run amok. It’s a joy to know that we now have a leader heading back into the White House who will lead us in being proud of our roots and traditions — even as we move forward in a positive way — rather than ashamed or persecuted for them.
Let those of us at AllenBWest.com join the president-elect in celebrating the season and saying a wholehearted “Merry Christmas” to all!
