CNN contributor reaches new level of DUMB with latest Trump diss

Sally Kohn, what would we do without you?

Whether it be her defense of the “progressive Muslims” who support Sharia law, her comparison of the Orlando Pulse nightclub terrorist to Christians shooting up abortion clinics (only 11 people have died in anti-abortion terrorism in our nation’s ENTIRE history), or citing people being nice to her as evidence of her white privilege, she’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Her latest? Despite backing Bernie Sanders during the Democrat primary — whose economic policies would’ve added at least $33.3 trillion in new spending — she’s a fiscal conservative all of a sudden when it comes to Donald Trump’s deal with Carrier Corporation. Here’s her comment:

Well OK then Sally, if she’s against “giving away taxpayer funds” to “buy” employment, one can only assume she was also against the auto bailout, bank bailouts and the stimulus package? Well, of course she wasn’t. And unlike the Carrier deal, those are all examples of the government dishing out taxpayer funds — not letting a business keep more of their own money as in the case of the Carrier deal.

Also neglected is that if those manufacturing jobs were lost, the government is out 1100 taxpayers (and has to pay their unemployment benefits until they find a new job). Here’s the math behind the Trump/Carrier deal, showing it to be a net benefit to taxpayers.

Spending $636 per year over the course of ten years to save a job is chump change. Obama’s stimulus is estimated (by optimistic liberals) to have “saved or created” 2.4 million jobs. If we take their word for it (just for the sake of making the math easy), and consider the $666 billion cost of the stimulus bill (which itself should’ve raised some red flags), that’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job “saved” or created.

I’ll take Trump’s deals over Obama’s any day of the week.
