Mike Rowe has PERFECT solution for U.S. colleges who refuse to fly American flag

The American flag has been under increasing attack right here at home lately, as schools forbid students to fly it on their vehicles, Muslims demand it not be flown near their residences, and all sorts of crazy stuff.

The latest hoopla surrounding Old Glory comes from a Donald Trump tweet where he suggested those who burn the flag should be punished with prison time or a loss of citizenship. Trump’s tweet, naturally, sent the Internet into a frenzy.

Then again, it doesn’t take a whole lot to get folks up in arms on the web, does it?

Well, the latest individual to weigh in on this matter is blue collar hero Mike Rowe, who wondered why universities refusing to fly the flag are being given federal money.

You can probably guess how that went over, right?

According to Twitchy, President of Hampshire University, Jonathan Lash, recently took down the American flag on campus because he said it provoked ‘fear and discomfort’ in his students.

No, we’re not making this up. College students were apparently so upset over our flag that the school removed it, or at least this Lash guy thought they were. Fear and discomfort, wow.

If certain people are triggered by our flag maybe they shouldn’t be here, just sayin’.

Mike Rowe seems to agree and even took it a step further …

Here’s a sample of Rowe’s statement:

Here’s the problem. Tuition at Hampshire College is about $60,000 a year. That’s not a problem because it’s expensive – it’s a problem because 85% of Hampshire students qualify for some form of federal financial aid. That means that We the People are enabling schools like Hampshire to sell a liberal arts degree for approximately $250,000. With $1.3 trillion dollars of student debt currently on the books, I found myself thinking how nice it would be to hear a more persuasive argument from those who will happily take money from a country whose flag they despise.

Rowe just totally went savage with this application of common sense, and if you listen closely, you can likely hear the wails and cries of triggered snowflakes across the land as they head for the nearest safe space.

Just imagine how quickly enrollment would crash at Hampshire without kids getting federal student aid? They’d either readjust their policy or eventually shut down their institution. Either outcome would be fine at the end of the day.
