Despite stating he wasn’t interested in a position in the Trump administration, we haven’t seen the last of Dr. Ben Carson. Just a week ago, a close friend of Carson’s (Armstrong Williams) said Carson wouldn’t join the incoming Trump administration, and instead would only serve as an unofficial adviser.

Nonetheless, yesterday Trump tweeted out that he’d been seriously considering Carson for a position as the head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

And today, Carson is strongly hinting he’s just accepted a position in Trump’s administration. As CNBC reported: Former presidential candidate Ben Carson hinted on Wednesday that he has accepted a Trump administration post, saying “an announcement is forthcoming about my role in helping to make America great again.”

In a Wednesday morning Facebook post, Carson said that “after serious discussions with the Trump transition team, I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly to making our inner cities great for everyone.” Carson dropped out of the Republican presidential race in March, and soon after threw his support behind Donald Trump.

Who knows what changed his mind — but it’ll be nice to see him back. He was an OK doctor after all.
