‘Hamilton’ actor disses Mike Pence during the show; INSTANTLY regrets it

Abe Lincoln is no longer the only Republican in office to have a bad experience at the theater.

Last night Vice President-elect Mike Pence went to see the Broadway play “Hamilton.” At over $500 a ticket (and nearly $1000 for the best seats), Pence sat among the one percent – but if the Republican Party is the Party of the rich, he certainly didn’t get a welcome in line with that. As he entered the theater, he was greeted with some applause – but a lot of boos.

That wasn’t the end of it. After the show ended, the cast of the show decided it would be appropriate to deliver a personal message to Pence.

“We have a message for you sir and we hope you will hear us out…Vice President-elect Pence we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us at Hamilton an American musical, we really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us. All of us.”

I’m pretty sure the Trump administration never said they wouldn’t be working on behalf of everyone, but I suppose the man delivering the speech (Brandon Dixon) decided opting to score social points would still be worth it.

The Donald responded on Twitter afterwards – using the Left’s own “safe space” rhetoric against them.

Dixon replied:

I certainly agree Pence wasn’t exactly “harassed,” but it’s obvious as to why people found his move distasteful. Would any of the liberals A-OK with this feel the same way if this happened to Obama? They don’t even need to ponder such a question, because it would NEVER happen.

Still, many others are pledging to boycott the show in response (though its effectiveness is questionable, given how liberal NYC is). The hashtag #BoycottHamilton is trending, and a number of people have canceled their tickets following the stunt.

And just a random note on the liberals still complaining about how Trump only got elected due to our electoral college system (which many are now calling to abolish). You know who’s responsible for the electoral college? Alexander Hamilton in The Federalist Papers (Federalist #68).
