While the full circumstances of the shooting aren’t yet completely known, the officers were responding to either a burglary or home invasion at the time, according to ABC 7. They also note that “There was some sort of a car accident involved, with the police vehicle on the sidewalk and what appears to be the suspect’s vehicle crashed into some construction equipment.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the fallen officer and his family, as well as the injured officer, who we wish a speedy recovery.
We also pray that we can put our nation back on a path where law and order is once again respected — and we do not find ourselves having to report tragedies such as this which feel like they’ve become all too frequent in recent years.
