NRA posts AWESOME response to Kardashian robbery

Until today, it seems every media outlet except ours has reported on the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian in her hotel room in Paris. We aren’t ones to get involved with celebrity gossip – and we didn’t think there was a political angle to the story regardless.

As it turns out, we were wrong. Ironically, the celebrity is strongly in favor of gun-control, and was robbed in a city that has strict gun control. The NRA took to twitter to hilariously troll Kardashian following the robbery.

Paris is one giant gun-free zone. And Kardashian is a big believer in gun control.

In response to the chart Everytown posted aiming to show the US leading the world in gun murders, you have to realize they’re excluding hundreds of other countries to pretend a nation with a firearm homicide rate of 3.6 per 100,000 is the highest in the world. A more accurate post on the rate of gun deaths per 100,000 citizens is below (though note, it is including firearm suicides).

After all, criminals don’t follow laws, right?

And the gun control crowd still really isn’t liking the NRA’s commentary.

Granted, as many liberals have accurately pointed out, Paris does have relatively low gun crime. However, it would be foolish to conclude gun control works simply because a single city with strict gun control has lower gun crime than our entire country of 320+ million people. That’s especially the case when most of America’s gun crime is concentrated in cities with strong gun control, and when we’re a nation of fifty states, each with different gun laws. When we divide up the states by gun ownership, we find those with higher rates of gun ownership have lower gun homicide rates.

The big question remains: where the heck was Kardashian’s armed security through all this? Hopefully we don’t have another Ryan Lochte situation on our hands.
