JUST IN: Trump says 6 words about Hillary’s health, leaves liberals SPEECHLESS…

While Hillary Clinton’s “medical episode” yesterday has dominated headlines and blown up the internet for the better part of 24 hours by now, we hadn’t heard much from her GOP rival Donald Trump.

In what some may see as uncharacteristic restraint, Trump and his campaign were quiet throughout Sunday, with the only comment from Trump in response to a question — as news of Hillary’s “episode” was just breaking — to which he noted, he didn’t know anything about it.

This morning, Trump spoke about yesterday’s incident and the ensuing announcements from the Hillary campaign. And far from proving himself to be the hateful misogynist the left would like to paint him as, Trump’s comments bust any opportunity for liberals to pounce. In fact, six particular words — “I just hope she gets well” — may leave them speechless.

As Fox News reports:

“Something’s going on, but I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail,” Trump told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

Clinton earlier canceled plans to visit California on Monday and Tuesday, and will instead rest at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y. After the Democratic presidential nominee was seen stumbling on her way to her van as she left Sunday’s event, her doctor revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. Her doctor also said the candidate had become “overheated and dehydrated” at Sunday’s ceremony, but is “recovering nicely.”

The incident fueled questions about Clinton’s health. Trump on Monday brushed aside any speculation that Clinton might be replaced as the Democratic nominee, but said of the candidate’s health: “I think it’s an issue.”

While Trump showed his softer side in comments about his rival’s current health episode, that didn’t stop him from pressing on what has now become a mainstream campaign issue: the health of both these candidates, who are among the oldest to have run.

Donald Trump told Fox News on Monday he plans to release “very, very specific” details from a recent physical, as he declared candidate health “an issue” in this campaign following a medical episode that forced Hillary Clinton to abruptly leave a 9/11 anniversary ceremony on Sunday.

Trump said he had a physical last week and plans to release the “numbers” when he gets them.

“I think they’re going to be good. I feel great,” he said.

Fox News has learned Trump plans to release those details during his appearance Thursday on “The Dr. Oz Show.”

Trump, meanwhile, continued to criticize Clinton for saying – before her health episode – that half his supporters fall into a “basket of deplorables.” Clinton has expressed regret for the remarks, but Trump said, “I think this is the biggest mistake of the political season.”

Even before Monday’s comments, Trump already had said both candidates should release detailed medical records.

Here we are, on this fine Monday, recapping a weekend — really an entire week — where Hillary Clinton is suddenly on major defense for both a major speaking gaffe (which actually really belies exactly how she feels) and a major medical episode. And unlike her previous turns on defense — such as with the email scandal and Benghazi, for example — Hillary cannot be pulled out of this by her backers in the Obama administration. Even the mainstream media has declared her health a real campaign issue, in the wake of yesterday.

Meanwhile, Trump isn’t providing the haters any fodder to take the focus off of her and back onto him.

With 56 days to go, have we entered a new chapter in this general election campaign?
