New Obama movie debuts; here’s why media is SILENT

You might be aware of a new film opened about President Obama and wife Michelle’s first date, but unfortunately for the star-crossed lovers, the reception by the moviegoing public was anything but stellar.

In fact, on its opening weekend, the film about Obama seems to be a bit of an o-BOMB-a at the box office.

The Daily Caller is reporting, Despite receiving glowing reviews from critics, “Southside With You” only made $3 million after premiering in over 800 theaters on Friday — putting it at number thirteen on the list of openings.

The film follows the story of when the couple went on their first date in Chicago in 1989 when they were young lawyers at the same firm.

A hit at Sundance, ‘Southside With You’ sports a superlative 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and will expand slightly for Labor Day weekend and play through the early fall as the country prepares to say goodbye to the Obamas at the end of their two terms in the White House,”

Coming in at number thirteen is pretty pathetic, but in all honesty, who is really interested in seeing a movie about the president and first lady going on a date?

For reference Dinesh D’Souza’s most recent film “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party” cracked the box office top ten in its second week and has so far grossed $12.2 million.

Frankly, it’s far more important Americans learn about Hillary’s corruption than Barack and Michelle’s first kiss anyway.
