If you’ve been following these pages you may already be aware of the USC/Dornsife/LA Times tracking poll, which is updated on a daily basis.
Now after a full month of data in July, it shows Hillary Clinton was ahead of Donald Trump for only ONE day in the entire month.
Trump’s lead was highest on July 27th with a seven-point gap. As of yesterday, he stood at 46.2 with Clinton at 42.1 – and that should include her “convention bounce.”
The Real Clear Politics average still has Clinton 2.2 points ahead of Trump at 44.9 to 42.7.
And it’s still early. It won’t get “real” until after the first debate.
But the nagging question in the back of my mind is, will Trump be able to “beat the cheat?”
