You might be thinking this is an article about yet another terror attack in Germany. After all there, were three in the last three days. You might also think this is an update to the story we posted earlier this morning about the mass shooting at a nightclub in Ft. Myers, Florida where two teens, age 14 and 18 were killed and 17 others wounded.
But no, this is just another typical weekend in homie Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago.
The Chicago Tribune reports, Forty-seven people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, five of them fatally, as the pace of gun violence in the city has pushed the number of victims to nearly 2,300 this year, according to data kept by the Tribune.
So far this year, the number of people shot in Chicago is at least 740 higher than last year at this time, the data show. The city has had at least 268 homicides so far this year, which is about 105 more homicides than this time last year.
• At least 19 people were shot, two fatally, during a 14-hour period between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 6:45 a.m. Saturday, police said.
• Two more people were killed and eight others were hurt in shootings from Saturday evening to early Sunday.
• Another fatal shooting happened Sunday afternoon, and 16 others were wounded between Sunday afternoon and early Monday.
Listen carefully. Do you hear anything from Black Lives Matter? How about from Democrat Mayor Rahm Emmanuel? How about from our first (half) black president, Barack Hussein Obama? How about from Hillary Clinton, champion of the inner city?
No? Me either.
Not a peep, because once again, these black lives do not matter because they do not feed the agenda.
We have a terrible tragedy occurring Every. Single. Week. in Chicago, and the black activists, the white mainstream media and the liberal politicians do not give a rat’s behind.
Well WE do, and we will continue to call out their hypocrisy and point out the wretched results that years of progressive policies have wrought in these communities.
It’s a damn shame. But until the black community wakes up, takes responsibility and shakes off its emotional shackles of victimhood, this is going to happen every single weekend.
