Now Donald Jr. accused of plagiarism, but there’s one BIG problem…

After Melania Trump was “caught” in an act of plagiarism (that turned out to be due to her speechwriter), liberals thought they caught a second member of the Trump family plagiarizing.

Donald Trump Jr. gave his speech at the Republican National Convention last night, and one passage in particular garnered attention from the Left: “Our schools used to be an elevator to the middle class. Now they’re stalled on the ground floor. They’re like Soviet-era department stores that are run for the benefit of the clerks and not the customers.”

The Daily Show was the first to seize on the quote, pointing out that the passage has a striking similarity to an article in The American Conservative written by F.H. Buckley.

A number of people jumped on the alleged act of plagiarism, such as former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann.

There was just one problem, it wasn’t plagiarism…. because F.H. Buckley actually WROTE the speech.

The Daily Show acknowledged their mistake, while Keith Olbermann appears unable to admit that he’s ever wrong.

Great job jumping the gun on that one guys. Who do we think will be accused of plagiarism tonight?
