After last night’s Bastille Day massacre in Nice, France, Newt Gingrich has had enough, and he let it all out last night on Hannity.
Gingrich said he’s “sick and tired” of being told the richest, most powerful civilization in the world “is helpless in the face of a group of medieval barbarians,” and that we’re told to “not judge.” In addition to pointing squarely at “Western elites who lack the guts” — starting with Barack Obama — Newt wants to start removing the enemy within.
“Let me be as blunt as I can be. Western civilization is in a war. Frankly, test every person here who is of a Muslim background and if they believe in Sharia they should be deported. Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door. But we need to be fairly relentless about defining who our enemies are. Anybody who goes on a website that favors ISIS or Al-Qaeda or terrorist groups that should be a felony.”
Watch Newt’s powerful words for yourself:
No doubt Newt’s words will be taken out of context and reframed as hateful, xenophobic, and bigoted. But who else out there thinks it’s about time more of our Western leaders stood up and said the same?
